You know, parental types are always saying to kids, implicitly or actually, I'm doing it for your own good. We really are, too. The cousin's parents are not helping him at all.

A lot of times I think that sort of permissiveness is really a lack of the energy and persistance to keep the kid in line. Parents have to be strong in ways kids don't ever glimpse. FanSee

I know that when i have the boys, they know that there are rules and boundries and if they cross them, there are consequences that they must deal with. Kids need rules and boundries. This kid certainly does!

When I first got my puppy many years ago I had some friends babysit her while I went away for a party. When I picked her up the next day she wouldn't get up. I had to carry her to the car and then into my home - where she slept for a number of hours. Poor little darling.
I really like the bumper stickers.
