It's Okey, He's America
YES! AMERICA HAS SHOWN UP IN THE HETALIA CHRISTMAS EVENT! (Yes, I'm now hooked on Hetalia, like I needed something new to be hooked on.) Best way to spend a birthday - refreshing four pages constantly to see if there are any updates (the actual event pages, the thread on LJ about it, Himaruya-sensei's Bamboo Thicket blog (where he posted a pic of Britannia Angel while announcing that the event was going to be an extra day), and Kitayume's home page (good for the site banner advertising the event)). Plus, Epicstonia... I mean Estonia pimpslapping a computer to keep Russia from calling the Heta Streeeem, thus beating Russia (and his giant chibi head - I love ya, Russia, but your chibi head was ginormous in comparison to the others) at hacking, is Prussia-levels of awesome.
The English-speaking fandom fun is over here right now at hetalia (warning: many people looking for serious fanservice in the comments - hey, it is a holiday event, why not?), and the original posts on Kitayume start here. Thank all that's holy work is closed tomorrow because Christmas was on a Saturday, so that I can stay up as long as possible for the fun.
