I just brought home Still by Joy Division and listened to Ian Curtis singing the first part of "Ceremony".  I wonder which band people prefer?  Joy Division?  or New Order?  I mean, I have to say... even though I think Joy Division is amazing, I find New Order more listenable.  Does that make sense?  While I have to be in a mood to really get into ( Read more... )

The "Very Best", that is!  At least, that's what M brought home from the library.  A two disc set of the Doobie Brothers and a single disc of Hall & Oates.  Good times!  You know these are going to be playing incessantly on my iPod for quite a while.

So, the kids are always lugging piles of this stuff home from the library.  There are tons of different titles, but since one of the characters goes by the nickname "L", I thought I'd start with the Death Note series.  I put reserves on the first four volumes.
