Title: N/A
Summary: think house cats have it easy? think again.
Note: Yes i know, this probably suck, but what the hey, it's my first time and I really souldn't think of what to write. Promise to do better next time.
Being a cat isn't always what it seems. I mean, most humans expect us home dwellers to just laze around the house all day do nothing but eating and sleeping. Humans assume that we, house cats, love "life".
Want to know a secret?
Being the only cat in the house 24-7 is horrendous. Day in day out, all we have for company is the plants and furniture, the paintings and family photos. Everyday, we do the same thing: eat, sleep, eat, and sleep... Know why? Because there isn't anything else to do. When we seek the attention of the people (or person) we live with, we get ignored.
That is why we occasionally crash into things once in a while, speeding around the house in a headlong dash breaking things to draw their attention. Of course we'd get yelled at when we get caught, but hate is still an emotion though a negative one. It is better than being invisible.
There are also times when we've finally had enough of "begging" for attention, and sulks off to a dark coner of the house; well, that's usually when the overbearing humanoids decide to pay us attention... too much attention. They cuddle and fondle us until we cannot stand one minute longer. We lash out in hope of getting away, and they mock us for being aggressive.
As a house cat, there is no privacy; whenever we eat, play, sleep, or do anything else, our keepers watch. Sometimes they laugh, sometimes they scowl, and sometimes, though rarely, they cry. They hate us when we are alive, then they miss us when we die... It's such a strange thing... Nonetheless, least they remember us.
Do you know anyone who says they'd like to be a cat? Please, past on these words.
"You would not survive!"
A house cat's life is controlled, there is no privacy, and no joy...
Being a cat truly isn't what it seems.
