Nah, I wouldn't think that's ridiculous at all. I've had to say goodbye to a beloved RP before (and in this case I myself didn't leave; everyone else gradually inactive'd plus poof'd), and the sadness was overwhelming at first. It doesn't strike me as abnormal. You become attached to the place after a while; there's goodtimes, there's plot, there's bonding IC and OOC...it becomes a favored part of your life, you know? Even during times of hard work. So, yes, it does hurt to say goodbye to it. Only natural.
