Holy Crap! Hurricane Sandy!
So I haven't been paying any attention to the happenings of the world for a while now and only learned that a hurricane is heading this way yesterday. School and work has kept me very busy... :'(
Public transit shut down some hours ago and school is closed tomorrow. I don't know how long it'll last... Is this going to become a yearly thing? Hurricanes in NY every year like in Florida? I really hope not. :/
Over on Long Island the water was rising higher than I've ever seen it and because the area will probably flood my mom and Angelo are staying here with me away from the water. Hopefully not much will happen but I'm sure it's going to rain a whole ton and the internet will die. A regular ol' thunderstorm can do that.
Water + Internet = No Internet
Seriously I'll be amazed if we never lose the internet in the next few days.
And so here's the opening to the Adventures of Pete & Pete called "Hey Sandy!" which always plays in my head every time I see "Hurricane Sandy" in every news article. Man, I miss this show...
