Update!
Quick Update:
SBs Bday - Went up to Chester at the weekend and enjoyed a much restful Sat daytime watching what was a very impressive intro to the Para Olympics. Then went out to what was a very nice resturant called 'Got Wine' as you can imagine was a fairly contemporary wine bar, really nice resturant though. Only about maybe 10 tables on a small upstairs area so quite intimate and also the sort of place that you can easily sit and enjoy a meal. All in all a very nice evening and has sparked the idea for:
Venision, Beetroot and Red Onion Cassarol with Paprika & Black Pepper Dumplings. (note no-one that I know who cooks steal this idea and get to it before I do!)
Grad Induction Week
Lead up week and this week so far has been manic. We've had 13 new grads starting for Whetstone and BE. First day went fairly well apart from PPE not turning up and a little bit of re-jigging for the tours went on. Also one guy was added to our list rather last minute so I kind of missed him off some of the details... whoops.
Todays not been much better although I at least got to sit down and have a chat with some of them over lunch, which is always nice, still no closer to names to faces though, even with giving them name tags... doh!
General:
Apart from that I still haven't been to see Dark Knight, for shame, will have to see if its still showing at the Pheonix.
Wandered around the new High Cross Shopping Centre, very impressive, lots of funky shops, most importantly a Wagamamas and a HomeMade Burger co and soon to be a funky Italian Cullucios? anyway went to one in London looked fantastic...
Oh yeah, the HR manager is still being psychotic, shes taken to checking my emails 3-4 times everyday. once again proving to me that she doesn't have enough to do at work. Cow.
