we drove up to portland this weekend, and because it was the friday afternoon before a holiday, traffic was absolutely horrid. it took us over an hour longer than usual, and from the south-portland suburbs to vancouver, traffic was crawling. also, it was 80 degrees out, wtf? my brother had to stall his wedding so we could make it to the courthouse ( Read more... )

well, i'm back from the trip to yakima. the drive up was nice, both legs of it were full of great conversation. the funeral was strange, it was a regular mass, but at communion, only like 5 members of the family went up besides me. that's 5 out of about 30, no other of my dad's siblings raised their kids catholic. there also was almost no crying at ( Read more... )
