another good weekend
it was sunny again this weekend, and we were dog-sitting so we went on some nice long walks. we were taking care of our friend's black chow called kuma, the sweetest, most mellow dog ever. the boy really wanted to keep her. i'll post pictures of her later this week, along with photos of the projects i'm feverishly trying to finish before my brother's wedding this weekend, both knitting and jewelry. i'm really proud of my dragon scarf, but i worry it might be too short. at least the recipient is a 4 year old!
there was a bowling party with the boy's co-workers on saturday and a "craft night" on sunday, where we all hang out and the guys talk and watch the babies and drink beer while the girls knit/crochet/do whatever. it's always fun! i wish it was more than once a month, but at least it's something social.
now i have to go vaccuum to try to remove dirty paw-prints from the carpet, and clean the poor neglected bunnies' cage. and knit like crazy some more!
oh yeah, and i keep looking for the job i want to apply for, but it hasn't come up yet. i know it's going to be vacant soon because i was informed so by the current position holder (who is moving to a new job). i really hope i get it, i know they like me, but if people with a lot more experience or veteran's preference or whatever apply, i'm screwed. :\ it would be nice to have a year-round job, even though the winters would basically suck a lot.
