in other news
much less conflicted and drama-filled then the entry from a half hour (?) ago I cleaned out my room. Three trash bags of garbage later, a huge storage bin of strawberry shortcake stuff later and all the furniture moved around my room looks much more simplistic although no where near the look I'm going for. My next goal is hopefully tomorrow or next weekend to go through my stuffed bear collection and keep the 4 bears I really have a love for in there. The whole toy box will of course have to dragged up to the attic but I see no reason to continue to display my bears (which I quit collecting maybe three years ago) in there anyways because I don't even notice them. Obviously being female and girly I'll keep some stuff like my anniversary Eeyore and carebear, my drooper dogs, my teddy bear great aunt Ruth bought me before she died, lamb-chops (yes the hand puppet) and snuggles (another hand puppet; yes the fabric softener) I'll probably shove Fulla and Mulan (barbies) up onto the shelf above the clothes along with the cabbage patch carrying cases. Naturally Ben will stay on my bed with the dogs. I'm considering getting rid of my sbsc 13 inch tv too and getting a bigger tv but I'm not sure. I don't watch much tv up there plus I already know the set up for my dvd player and vhs player. I got rid of 2 big under the bed boxes filled with books too. There was a lot of stuff in there. I forgot how into V.C. Andrews I used to be, I think I kept maybe six books by her total but I had over 30 some in boxed sets even. I had a ton of crap everything from the Memory Keeper's Daughter, to Gossip girl. I narrowed it down to one under the bed box and 2 shelves of books. (the final shelf has old books like my Berenstain Bears books, a few magazines, and my copy of Leo the late Bloomer basically children's books my mom used to read to me though. I figure once I get rid of the toy box I'll move the dvd stand and/or the make-up misc. stand into the cupboard since I hang everything up to maximize/utilize my floor space. I'm hoping personally that I can move both into the cupboard/closet. Then I'll start looking into doors for the closet (it used to have these cool "the Lion, the witch& the wardrobe" doors but when I was young and a slob my parents removed them so I couldn't hide my mess in my closet lol). So I'll look into getting new doors/old new to me doors would be cool too.
We're going to go to Disney world this Summer with Lori and her family -shrugs- After that I want to put about half of what I make every week into an account I just have to talk to my mom about it. I want it there to save up money for Christmas but also to go towards household repairs. That way by next Summer if my brother still doesn't have his act together I can hire someone to renovate the bathroom and going towards hiring an electrician. I'm tired of this place looking a hot mess and its time to stop it. I can't do much about the driveway or the fact that my mom stupidly allowed my "uncle" Ross' son to park his vehicle(that he crashed) to sit here for five million years but I can start on the inside. Maybe after that some new flooring instead of her giving me Christmas and birthday presents.
