It's a Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction - basically, this will certify me to teach (high school chemistry, ideally) OR allow me to go into administration.

Fantastic! It's so much better to get an MA, then just a teaching certificate. That's exactly what my sister is doing (but in history).
