So I leave you with this picture and tons of spoilery Heroes screencaps under the cut. :D

I think so, too. It's hard to explain but they already work for me on a visual level. In those pics they already "look" very natural together and that they will be fun

They do! She looks exactly like the description of the character, pixie-like and joyous. Which really works together with Hiro. I did like Yaeko, but in terms of character, I think cheerful, zanier types work better for him.

His hair is still longer than it was in "Powerless" but they styled it too look short. *is still hoping for semi bangs*

*hopes with you* I don't think Peter, left to his own devices, likes short hair. That just seems too uptight for him. So if they jump forward several months, and I think the title "Butterfly Effect" implies they will, they should definitely have it seem to have grown out some.

I know. We have talked about this numerous times. But I'm still surprised a) to actually see the confirmation that Peter is the shooter b) that they reveal this so early. The latter is the biggest reason why I still have doubts that it really is Peter. You would think that the identity of Nathan's shooter is one of the big surprises in the season premiere. Why on earth would they spoil that?

Heh, well, I just love mentioning it every chance I can. Is that so wrong?

I think it's questionable as to whether this can be considered revealing. It's a very short spot that most people will see on TV. Mostly, they don't plan these things around the internet fans who are capable of screencapping things (which, yes, is ironic considering the Evolutions stuff and web content). But, seriously, they never seem to consider how much information we can mine out of this stuff.

It is a big spoiler, but I think they figure for internet fans it's just all that much more tantalizing, trying to figure out how it could be true. For non-net fans, it's not a spoiler at all. It's too quick in the clip. Honestly, it reminds me of 5YG. Plenty of us called the Nathan-Sylar reveal based off of the commercial, but still more people didn't, and I don't think it was necessarily a wrong move for them to include Nathan/Sylar saying he's the most special of all, just because some of us twigged on that.

Whereas I was happily crowing and punching the air over being right. Is it weird that I love not being surprised on a show that's pretty much entirely about cliffhangers?

I love that "jaw drop" moment. That's why I was so pleased at the end of "Powerless" when I was spoiled all to hell and Kring *rewrote* the episode so the Virus *didn't* get out. So. Pleased. :D

I do like that in finales. I never like knowing the actual ending before it happens, so I usually try to avoid spoilers for the final few episodes. Just, this time, I didn't actually know this would be the finale until after I was spoiled. So rewrites were a good thing! Even if there was some shouting at my screen, "you can't do that!"

I'm just worried that it's such a long time from now until S3 that we'll basically know everything by the season premiere. I'll definitely have to set up some kind of Willpower Reinforcement system to stop spoiling myself.

I have trouble believing they'll let that many spoilers out. Really, this is the first major one. Before they were placating us with stuff about Daphne and Senator Malden. With so many characters and all the villains, I think they can keep that up for a long time. Definitely until July.

P.S. Did you get the last e-mail I sent you re: Jeph Loeb? I'm surfing around for interviews and getting nothing. Where the hell is that Behind the Eclipse?

I did, and I just didn't have time to reply before leaving for work. I should have clarified. I don't know for sure who Jeph Loeb's favorites are, although I have the vague feeling may be one of the guys who likes Hiro best. It's just I don't have a problem with him having a favorite.

And that Behind the Eclipse serious needs to happen now! >:(

Hmmm, I'm still not convinced. Someone on 9thWonders saw the TV spot and recognized Peter as the shooter right away - without the help of screen caps. You have to remember that the TV screen is much bigger than this little internet clip and therefore it's even easier to recognize a person. Of course it's more likely that hardcore fans will catch something like this. The neutral TV audience has probably already forgotten how the shooter was dressed. I still don't think that TPTB would take the chance to reveal something this big so early.

I'm however seeing your point that the WHY might be more important than the WHO. Perhaps they want people to start wondering why on earth Peter would do something like this (and it's working). The motives are more interesting than the identity of the shooter.

How does the casting of the paramedics fit in the "set up" theory, btw? Sorry, if you told me before, I'm just thoroughly confused at this point. ;)

Yep. One of the things is that I don't think most casual fans would even be watching that closely. I half waved off the promo, ignoring what was going on, until I realized there really was footage in there.

And, for genre newbies, is quite mindbending. A lot of people really don't consider "time travel" as a plausible explanation. In any case, it's a pretty good means of generating talk about the show, without necessarily giving away the surprise. People will still doubt and argue, and plenty won't even catch it at all.

Oh, it doesn't help the set up theory. But it helps to prove that they can't just time skip, they have to start Butterfly Effect up right after Powerless. That's all I meant.
