It's just one of those things I can't help but can only happen to somebody like me. Last week, my friend and I went downtown to the "Dinosaur BBQ".. an excellent place for meaty-type-stuffs. So we went, ate our fill, and when we got back to the car, something was off. Then my friend went to unlock the driver's side door, and it was already unlocked. He had locked it when we left, so he looked closer. Someone had jimmied the door open, and stole...
His three-year-old stereo. Which we were joking just days before should be stolen so he'd have an excuse to get a new one!
Whoever did it was a pro at getting things out. They didn't even crack the panel they removed. Heck, the Mountain Dew in the cupholder was untouched, the anime CDs were still there, and even the Caramel Crunch bars were only tilted the opposite direction.
We found out later they did try and get the speakers, too, but they're specially positioned, so it's hard to get out, so they left them. All in all, I don't think we'll be venturing downtown again in a hurry.
In lighter news, I have someone who's offered to be my fount of UK information! *cheers* Stupid 'Mercan finally getting some help! YAY!
Speaking of writing, I am going to be attempting the insane once again! I'm trying to get most of my ideas for at least a couple of "kiss" stories out before the first, because.. I am participating in National Novel Writing Month again! And so I don't bore everyone (and flood your f-lists), I've created a separate journal for me to rant, post snippets in (which will be friends-locked), and basically get out all the joy, sweat, and tears of writing a novel in a month. I'm going to turn it into a haven for my unfinished stuff, but for November, it will be my NaNoWriMo journal! Interested? It's mimeawip. Creative, I know. ^_^;;; Friend me, I'll friend you (although I'm not expecting anybody to ^_^).
