Random encounter with takami again
takami is probably currently riding to or at the airport to fly back to Okinawa. She sent me a mail today, and said she was in the area so I went to hang out with her! I was hungry, so we went to eat somewhere... after that, we went to the game center (arcade) and I ended up beating an entire game of Soulcalibur III!
Well, it started out with there was a guy on the other SCIII machine, and I was afraid to challenge him because I haven't played Soulcalibur in forever... but then I got the courage to and put my 100 yen in the slot and picked Sophitia. I ended up winning that match. He decided he was going to be serious or something, so he put in his money for a rematch and started using parrying techniques! I think his friends or someone kept walking over to see who was the one challenging him, and I could only imagine how funny it must have seemed to have this strange foreigner (do I look foreign as an Asian? maybe not?) girl playing Soulcalibur. It did attract some attention when I was playing, but not that much. I beat him again and this time he gave up, so I played against the CPU in the arcade storyline... my first time beating it to the end for arcade! There's not too many arcades in Fremont like there are here in Japan, so I was really glad to be able to do that.
takami then went to play a quiz-like game... I couldn't really read it, but I found it interesting that it was networked to all of Japan! Each player at the time was in some area of Japan and you could see their different answers. After the arcade, we went to look for netbook sleeves and failed. Then we went to K-books and bought some stuff... then she had to go! Sadness! Today in a nutshell! Happiness is a golden poem, but thinking about how I might not ever be able to see or at least not for a while... the friends that I'm meeting here, is a little sad. Still, better to have had this experience than not, is how I feel.
