sleeps

Yesterday felt like the slowest day! The time at work, the time getting home... of course, when I was driving home, I had ran into traffic, and then afterward, I go locally only to run into the train passing by, so I decided, "today feels long, why don't I just drive around for a little?" And I did, and eventually I went home later than usual. I ( Read more... )

I hate the dreams that have a sudden bang at the end. Those ones I wake up
feel the same as belly flopping onto water. It hurts all over.

I have a dream book that someone gave me:

"running" - Being a determined runner in a dream shoes that in real life you using every effort to "get to the finish line" But running could also indicate that you are frantic.

"chased/hounded" - Being chased or hounded in a dream may take on many different forms, and the unconscious material that thus comes to the light should be taken to heart by the dreamer. Ancient egyptions believed that dreaming about being chased meant that people were speaking ill of the dreamer. (there is also a reference to about being chased by "your preferred sex" means you fear (love?/erotic?) relationships.)

"water" - A symbol for the unconscious, water also cleanses and bestows and sustains life. Dreaming about water that is calm or moves gently is always a positive sign. But water that breaks in waves over the shore, flooding the surrounding area, points to danger. The kind of danger can be deduced from other symbols in the dream. Clear water means good luck, murky water bad luck. (see also, moor, river, ocean and flood)

"flying" - Dreaming about flying occurs faily often. Generally, it should be taken as a warning, especially if we ourselves are flying like a bird - on otherwords, without any aid. Freud considered dreams about flying as expressions of erotic desires (cutcutcut) ... Flying without aid of some kind of vehicle accross an imaginary landscape could mean that the dreamer is too far removed from the realities of life.

I find the "running away" and "water" comes up a lot in my dreams too, but I never see what I'm running from, just that I know something bad is coming. Ultimately any dream that appears to be part of a sequence needs to be viewed in a larger context. Can't say I've had any dreams about flying.
