Woke up this morning and just knew today would be a day full of busy things.
Went to the printmaking studio to get my remaining prints from the print sale and found out how much I made. I was a little disappointed because I still had a ton of prints left over, but I had great competition-- the Aesthetics of the Cute class had a ton of great prints, which is probably why most of those ended up selling instead. I really wanted to take that class, but I couldn't, as it was in the way of one of my last non-studio courses needed for graduation. Ironically, as I have said in a previous post, I needed a studio course... haha. That's okay, just 5 weeks of long days at studio will make up for it.
I called up my mom to tell her about how much I made, and she seemed okay with it, but when she asked how much I sold each print for, I said 5 bucks, and she said I actually sold a lot. Now thinking about it that way, I guess I did sell a lot! Just wish I could have sold the rest of them.
I traded a few of the unsold prints with friends for some of their own prints!
Speaking of the rest of them, if any of you are interested in my photo lithography prints of my old intaglio prints, you can purchase them! I will not be able to mail them out until the week I am at home (probably next week or the week after that)... but here is a selection that I am willing to sell online:
Price includes shipping. Willing to mail internationally.
Agrias and Ovelia. This is the original scan and you will receive an original print. Printed on unryu paper, two run woodblock print that I did in Intro to Print. I am willing to sell 3 of them, and for each of them 11 bucks.
Note: These next images feature original intaglio scans.
Intaglio is a copper plate etching, inked, and then printed on paper using a press. These are scanned reproductions of the original intaglio pieces and printed out on transparent mylar for photo lithography shooting. It shoots an image of it onto a lithography plate, and it is printed using a lithography press. They are printed on either cream-colored or bleach-white Rives BFK paper. If you're interested, please let me know if you want it on cream or bleach-white! Some of the details did not make it to the final print, and it ends up looking similar to "mass media" If you are curious on how the current one looks, you can request a scan, but I can't get to that until later this week or next week. I have none of the original intaglio prints for sale as there are too few copies.
Sophitia is sold for 8 dollars. I think I have at least 30 in stock. Created in Intaglio I.

If you're interested, let me know! I have a PayPal account and stuff, and like I said above, I won't be able to send out the prints until I get home. Thanks for looking!
I helped Elizabeth and Linda do some screen printing on T-shirts for the Printmaker's Propaganda Portfolio. Made myself one, and now I have a nifty shirt, too!
We later sold some of the shirts at the Printmaker's potluck. Probably spent all day there, trading prints and things like that. And is probably the last time I ever see a ton of them!
Since I'm hoping to get a part-time job or something, and wanting to make a bit of extra cash, I was wondering if anyone is interested in commissioning me for any artwork. Since I don't think my art is all that hot, I guess price is negotiable! Sketch, digital, inked, traditional, colored pencils, let me know if you're interested. Thanks again, if you've read this far, or if you just looked at my art, that's cool too. EDIT: Commissions = you ask for it, I draw it. Depending on the quality of the result, will affect price!
If you're in Santa Cruz, you can pick up the prints from me in person until the end of this week.
