Well, that was odd. Yesterday night, or should I say, very early this morning, I was working on my essay for Frankenstein. I ended up falling asleep at the computer... usually this never happens!
Haruka called me around 5AM and I woke up with an imprint (on my face) of the papers on my desk. My neck was really stiff. Ugh. Never doing that again, if I could help it.
Well, here I am now working on the paper. It's not due until the 22nd, but the rough is due today at 8PM. It's 5PM now. I know I can get it done by then. Besides, we're only supposed to have at least three pages. I plan to get around four to five since it's what the final is supposed to be like.
Valentine's Day... well, nothing happened on it. I did however, see this girl named Tina. She often works at Little Shanghai, a Chinese restaurant downtown. Er, should I say, that street we call downtown...
She said she always had urges to come and talk to me because I was there so often. Things like, "Hey, how's it going" or something like that. She did live on my hall last year, but being the introvert that I was and still am, I didn't leave my room often unless it was for class or someone dragged me out to do something. Besides, our hall was kind of long. I thought it was interesting because I kind of felt the same way--we were so often in the same place at almost the same time, but we never did truly say anything to each other. I saw her in the 3D foundation section classroom... I decided to stay after that day to work on my mold, and she came in. I guess that was a good thing, huh? She talked about the dining hall, and how she hasn't eaten there much this year as she lived off-campus. I offered to use a meal for her, and we ate in the dining hall where I found a few friends we could sit with.
Two of my housemates gave Valentine cards to me. That was nice of them. Otherwise, I didn't get anything. Besides the e-card and phone call, I meant. Valentine's was really another day for me... I often forgot it was even Valentine's Day.
Tomorrow, I'm going to spend time "downtown" as we're supposed to write a proposal of a public art piece and such. My partner has a really cool idea where there was this bridge down there with lots of ugly weeds and trash... she wanted to remove those, and create a sort of fake aquarium. I asked her if we could put in mythical or fictional elements, like mermaids, or perhaps the Loch Ness monster, as you all know how I just looooove things that aren't real. Oh ho ho ho.
Haruka's coming to visit this weekend, so that's going to be fun. Probably won't be around much to update or whatever.
I watched a few episodes of Utena a few days back, and I just get these urges to draw Juri again. I love her so much...
But no time to draw! Must do things.
And this new autosave draft thing on LJ? Interesting.
Oh yes. I heard most of the west side of the campus has lost internet. I did for a while, too. It might be sporadic... and now I leave you with a quote I just can't forget:
Sakura: "...well, it's not like I'm really attracted to anyone."
Elizabeth: *rolls eyes* "Oh yes, you'd say something along the lines of, 'Real women? What game are they from?'"
Sakura: *covers face with hands* "... ... oh, God...!"
