I believe it's actually a re-release of a previously-Criterion'd film. I've only seen Les diaboliques from Clouzot. I wasn't too enamored. It's the kind of film that I have to give some obligatory props, but plot-based-entertainment doesn't interest me and so I just don't care about it in general.

They oughtta re-release Seven Samurai or maybe even Amarcord. Basically all the early Criterion DVDs...
