And exciting week has gone by. Last Thursday was club, though it was no ordinary club. It got moved to a new location, and shall be there until who-knows-when. The important thing is it's still going. I don't know if I could survive without club in my life anymore, and I wonder how I did in the past. The new place is cool, but it needs some heavy work done. But once it's up and running, it seems like it could be just as fun as the old place, though I do have to say I will miss the old location.

Friday I got a new DS Lite. I traded in my old DS and paid the $50 in difference and got a refurbished white Lite. It's very sexy, and looks like Wii Jr. when I set it next to my Wii (Sr.). Phantom Hourglass is amazing on it, so bright and vibrant and colorful. I am starting to have mixed feelings about the game. At first I was thrilled with all the mechanics and whatnot, and thought this would be a new Zelda game unlike any before, but alas, there are far to many repeated themes from old games to make it revolutionary. A lot of things are awesome, i.e.: the graphics, soundtrack, mechanics for items, and new (and even some familiar) abilities that you get along the way. But it seems like a very short game, with only seven dungeons in all, and the story line itself is....well, lets just say Miyamoto's done better. It's definitely targeted to a younger demographic, although for old school fans like myself, it is very difficult to keep away from.

Saturday we went to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D. I hadn't seen it in theaters since I was a kid, and was thrilled when I found out it would be here, in 3D. I was scared that they would add scenes, or remake the film with computer animation (like Corpse Bride) and ruin a masterpiece, but they left the scenes unaltered (save the fact that each frame is now 3D) and so it was fantastic. I'm glad I had the chance to see it while it's here, even though it will be leaving soon. After the movie, there was food, and then at Megan's house there was Halo 3, alcohol, and lots of talking. If it weren't for work the next day, I would have stayed even later, but I couldn't. It was fun while it lasted though, and makes me look forward to next Friday (when I will have the next day off).

Sunday was pretty mellow, with lots of Phantom Hourglass and some Flying Star in there somewhere, but that's about all. Oh, work was a fucking bitch, but other than that it was okay.

Monday was great. Bekah and I went to get Bekah's haircut, which I was afraid of, but looks great after all. After the haircut we ate at Baggin's since it's been far too long for us. Then we came home to pick up Jed, who decided not to go because he worked graveyard the night before and was still tired. So Bekah and I headed to Talin Market, and bought a wok and lots of Asian goodies. The Market is awesome; each isle is a different region of the world, so instead of numbers it was "Kyoto" or "Saigon" or "Seoul" or "Berlin". It's an awesome, and very cheap, place to shop. Afterwards, we got some additional groceries at Smith's, and came home for a bit, and hung out with Jed. Soon after we went to Burlington Coat Factory and tried on lots of coats. Unfortunately, the ones I really wanted were about $30 out of my price range, so I have to wait until next paycheck to get one. Jed got gloves. After, we stopped by a Goodwill to check out bikes, but the selection this time was lacking. Then we came home and tested out our new wok with a chicken and rice stir fry-ish dish. It was very tasty, and Bekah made some scones for desert. After dinner we watched a couple episodes of Stargate Atlantis (which is nowhere near par with SG1, but is still getting better and better). That was about all.

Today I showered. W00t. After Bekah got home, the two of us went to Music Go Round and spent a fair amount of money on lots of stuff. She got a bass distortion pedal and a cable for $25, and I spent $30 on a guitar stand, a 'Y'-adapter, two cables, and two picks. Now I can play my guitar through both of my amps simultaneously, with different crazy effects running on each. It sounds awesome, and I'm really happy I have a stand for my guitar at long last. Later today we may go see a dollar movie or something, but right now I'm taking a breather and needed to update a very packed week. And that brings us up to date.

End.
