Never mind the imperfect timing, this is what happens when Scorpius gets an idea in his head.

He has a letter in hand, written in a shaky script, unlike his usual perfect penmanship, that betrays his nerves. He re-reads it one last time before loosening his white-knuckled grip on it and asks Bar to deliver it for him.

[OOM: In the wake of certain events last night, a stiffly-worded missive arrives for one Captain Malcolm Reynolds.]

Bernard ambles out into the main bar, scratching his head and yawning. As he procures some coffee, he leaves a note with Bar.

Marian approaches the bar warily. She sets her folded letter on the top of it. Then shifts it once, so it's sitting square and flat.

Eventually, she completes her letter-writing, and carries them to the bar. One general note is left, of which a copy is to be given to anyone who might have reason to express interest, informing them that she has departed, for a time. In addition, a few more specific missives are handed over:

Lenny's been downstairs for a good long while now, having realized that yes, in fact, this is that crazy bar he spent some time in less than five years ago (his time).

He's got a key for his old room, a nice meal, and some paper and a pen.

And eventually, after some deep, concentrated thinking, Lenny writes ( two notes. One Addressed to Cassie, the other to Sikozu. )

Irene enters the bar, pushing a handcart loaded with empty cardboard boxes, and disappears into the staff wing.

She comes back a couple hours later, and the cart is significantly heavier. Her expression is, too.
