Karkat's sloppy programming has been greatly increasing the stress on the Milliways' shields, by multiplying logarithmically the number of universes ending outside the window, and the resulting influx of apocalyptic negative serendipity. But the shields are good.

[OOC: No, there isn't any connection between the two things, and with the server blowing up, Karkat's bit is essentially over.

Whatever happens next is up to individual people doing their individual allpocalypse events, it's just a plot device along with Ray lowering the shields to explain why the bar is being flooded with armageddon karma.]
