Tonight:
Karkat's sloppy programming has been greatly increasing the stress on the Milliways' shields, by multiplying logarithmically the number of universes ending outside the window, and the resulting influx of apocalyptic negative serendipity. But the shields are good.
Until Ray's experiment knocks the whole bar down to emergency power. Then the zemblanity begins to flow...
As of midnight tonight, bar-time, three things have changed.
1. There's a crater out in the woods, from an exploding computer server.
2. Karkat's Trollian server is gone, and T Minus service is down until further notice.
3. There are massive amounts of negative serendipity flowing into the bar. A few thousand apocalypses worth. A little at a time, in a slow leak, but as it builds up the damage grows and the curse spreads...
