It's been a long, long time since Tavi was in the Bar. As it is, his armor's covered in dust as he walks in, fully expecting his command building--and looks around with some surprise.

A slow smile spreads over his face, and then he all but bounds upstairs to go change, because crows he could do with a bath, meal, and an hour of not working on

Well, is it bothering him that Enzo is practicing Bon Jovi?

Nah. He's not one for music either way; that's Kitai.

Oh, well, it was worth a try.

Enzo finishes running through "Bad Medicine" and sits back to see who's nearby.

"Hey! It's... you."

[tavar_of_alera]

It was. Sadly, emotions and art are two of the things Tavi fails most at. He does compassion far better.

Tavi just looks faintly amused.

"It is," he agrees.

"I'm sorry, I can never remember your name."

He is adult-Aleran-who-isn't-a-cheerfully-bad-influence.

Tavi laughs slightly.

"Scipio. It's been a while, Enzo."

[a1enzo]

"Yeah, well, that's why," Enzo mumbles, doubly embarrassed because Scipio clearly has no such problem.

[tavar_of_alera]

"The door seemed to decide to avoid me for a time," he explains agreeably.

If Enzo volunteers any further, he will gently explain it away as needing to remember many of his soldiers' names--and he commands thousands. Even the officers mean more names than most.

No need; he's too embarrassed to remain on the subject.

"So what's processing with you?"

Tavi shrugs fluidly. "The usual Legion business, though thankfully no latrines for me lately. You?"

[a1enzo]

"Gonna be bringing Users to visit the Academy."

[tavar_of_alera]

Tavi blinks a few times.

"Come again?"

[a1enzo]

"Sorry. Users means humans. I'll be bringing some to visit my school, in my world."

[tavar_of_alera]

"You're getting to bring visitors to your world?"

Tavi sounds so, so wistful. He's wanted to see other worlds--and to show some of his friends here how beautiful his homeland is, even torn by war.

He loves Alera--his Alera.

[a1enzo]

"I'm trying to teach the other Guardians about Users. Letting them meet some is the next step."

Beat.

"And I've brought visitors before. They just weren't... official."

Tavi blinks.

Then he cracks up.

That is so very much something he would do himself. "Forgiveness over permission--did you have to, or did you get away with it?"
