"Stupid Batman... stupid Waller.. stupid 'audition'." Owen grumbles to himself as he slams the door behind him, before lifting his head just as he was about to throw his jacket off.

"...wait, wut?" He looks around at the bar he's in. "This isn't home."

There are a few patrons in this bar that would recognise both of those names.
The one that happens to be here is in his costume, at a chair by the fireplace, feet sprawled on the coffee table.

His mask is pulled completely away from his face, and there is a cigarette resting in his mouth when he looks over to see if the new entrant is worth his time.

Owen would remember that mustache anywhere. "Lawton? How the hell'd you wind up here?"

It's a very distinctive moustache.

"Magic, same as you."

"Please just tell me the Wall isn't behind this. I've had enough go wrong today." He scratches his head awkwardly, trying not to think of the beating he just gave Dick.

"The Wall isn't behind this."

Sounds so reassuring when he says it, doesn't it?

"Well that's something I guess." He grumbles. "How's the beer here?"

"Damn good," Lawton admits. "And it ain't killed me yet, which you may see as a plus."

Owen affords the older man a smirk. "Well, it's not a minus."

Lawton snorts in the back of his throat.

"Guess not. You staying?"

"For now, at least. Waller kind of had me burn a bridge behind me right before I got here."

Beat.

"You talking literally or figuatively, there?"

"Figuratively. Batman was involved." Owen rolls his eyes.
