Thalia has been around. Really, she has and not just for not-dates! Like today, she's sitting in a booth and looking through catalogs of swimsuits. Some of the more recent ones are making her ears burn as she imagines herself in one but she kind of likes the ones from the 40s, 50s and 60s. Then she comes across the old catalogs and can't help but

Ako prefers some concealment to her swim suit choices herself.

"Going swimming?"

[aigiochos]

"Thinking about it," Thalia says with a nod. "Ako right?" She really doesn't want to remember the demon bunny incident but Ako was very helpful.

[seat_five_girl]

"Yeah. I haven't been down to the beach since the notice about the mermaid that might eat people."

[aigiochos]

"Wait, a man eating mermaid?" Thalia is sitting bolt upright now.

[seat_five_girl]

"It was on the notice board," says Ako, "She's apparently down by the Caribbean part mostly."

Ako wrinkles her nose a bit.

"I guess security can't do anything until she actually tries something. Which is fair but it seems kind of..."

Risky mostly, but fair. You shouldn't punish someone for things they haven't done. Even things they want to do and talk about doing. Still...

[aigiochos]

Thalia wonders if she and Annabeth should do something about this. Then again this isn't home where heroes are expected to take care of monsters.

"I guess I haven't been paying much attention to the board. Has any been hurt?"

[seat_five_girl]

That gets a head shake.

"Not yet. I guess she's just been talking and someone must have told her the rules."

There are things here other than men after all and some of them are protective. Even the relatively vanilla humans be unexpectedly dangerous.

"Mostly I'm glad this didn't happen during winter. I'd hate to have lost the beach then."

[aigiochos]

Thalia accepts all this and makes a mental note to read the notice board more often.

"Have you sen her or just heard about her? Do you know if her singing is dangerous?"

[seat_five_girl]

"I've just heard about her," says Ako, "And I don't know anything more, sorry."

[aigiochos]

Thalia waves away the apology.

"No biggie, I'll just read the notice later."

[seat_five_girl]

"Probably best," agrees Ako, "I might have left something out. I don't think I did, but..."

She shrugs. You don't make mistakes on purpose after all, you make them by mistake.

[aigiochos]

Thalia shrugs in return. "It happens. It would suck to lose the lake."

[seat_five_girl]

"I hope security does something about things before it comes to that."

[aigiochos]

"Are they likely to?" She's curious as the lake is outside, supposedly outside the rules right?

[seat_five_girl]

"If she starts going after patrons a lot it seems likely," says Ako, "The rules are, um, looser out back but any fights that aren't agreed to don't go over well anywhere."

[aigiochos]

"Good to know," she says in that way which clearly suggests some sort of plan.
