Exploding magic rocks

The woman known to most as Milliways patrons as Sarah Black is laying in the grass facing the sky. At regular intervals, a fairly large rock like thing comes out of the ground around her and rockets toward the sun.

She isn't tearing up the ground about her, since as soon as the rock-thing clears the ground, the grass and the soil it's planted in looks just as good as ever. The rock is an illusion, the only thing real about it is its momentum and the impact it would have on its target. That is if they didn't explode when she pointed at them.

Using the explodious spell she had learned from Ginny has been randomly effective on real rocks, even on the pots and cake tins she wad brought from her world. And it hasn't worked yet on the demon bunnies. She has even tried it on chicnchopmas, which pretty much explode on their own already. No luck. But with these magical fake rocks, it's simple enough that she doesn't have to voice the spell, but annoyingly, she still has to point out the target.

Most of the rocks explode high enough in the air that the imaginary pebbles and rock shards dissipate well before reaching the ground. But she is trying to get a feel of how far away the imaginary rock should be before she can explode it safely so an occasional imaginary pebble might make its way to the ground.
