It's not often that this particular redheaded woman is seen in the bar with anything on the table in front of her other than a laptop, but there are apparently exceptions to all trends because today the laptop is closed and set to the side so that there's room for the massive plate of pasta in front of her. Well hey, look who it is.

"Yo." Axel grins, and gives her a bit of a wave.

"Hey, you," Barbara answers with a gentle smile. "Join me?"

"Sure thing." Since he was already headed in her direction anyway, the invitation is appreciated.

"You want some pasta?" She isn't sharing, but she'd be glad to order more!

[killitwith_fire]

He wasn't thinking of food, but...

"Now that you mention it, yeah I think I could go for some."

[twiceahero]

"Excellent." She grins and waves at a waitrat for some more food.

"So, what's up?"

[killitwith_fire]

"Not a whole lot," he says with a shrug. "A friend of mine's having some trouble back home, or is about t'be, but we're tryin' t'head that off, y'know? What about you?"

[twiceahero]

"Yeah," she says quietly. "I know how that goes."

"And it's business as usual for me." Which means she's not sleeping most nights with the work.

"Could be worse then," Axel observes.

[twiceahero]

"True," Babs chuckles. "Always look on the bright side, huh?"

"Exactly."

Though Axel isn't the world's biggest optimist, it seldom hurts, right? Right.

As long as you don't let yourself get blinded to reality.

"Anything I can do to help?" she asks thoughtfully as she pops a forkful of pasta into her mouth. Just as a plate arrives for him.

Axel shakes his head.

"Not at the moment, but thanks. If somethin' comes up though, I'll ask you."

[twiceahero]

"Good." She grins, shoulders slumping slightly in relaxation.

"Maybe I should take breaks more often," she muses aloud.

"That's a plan I can get behind." Axel's grin ticks wider as he replies.

[twiceahero]

"It's just that there's so much to do..." Hard to find the time, really.
