The front door opens and a voice can be heard calling, "Tyler?" before a little girl flies in...yes flies.

She's dressed in a white and blue costume, complete with cape and mask, and pulls up short when she sees she's somehow found the convention center's bar. Kids aren't supposed to be in bars but what if Tyler is in here? But he's a kid and so

Well! That's something you don't see every day, not even on the Normandy. Julie? There's a ruddy-skinned six foot space newt blinking big black eyes in your general direction.

"Excuse me. Couldn't help but notice. You look lost. Need assistance?"

The girl stops and floats down to be eye level with the lizard man...no he's more of a newt she thinks once she's closer.

"I'm not lost but I think the boy I'm looking for is."

[pattersongs]

Mordin nods. "Possible. Milliways has tendency to acquire patrons by surprise. Might be able to help. Who're you looking for?"

You don't generally see flying biotics where Mordin comes from, but there've been a few asari justicars who've pulled off something very, very close. This isn't entirely outside his experience.

The narrator wishes he could give you some clue as to how she accomplishes this but alas he's not sure.

"He's about my height, has blond hair and was wearing a red shirt, a green cape and a silver metal helmet with little wings," she replies studying Newt Man in return as the only other alien she's met lives in an environmental suit. "He doesn't fly."

"Hm. Can't say I've seen him. Not that many humans your size here," says Mordin. "Would remember. Can keep an eye out for him, if you'd like. Not that I come here that often, admittedly."

The girl looks down a little shyly. "I didn't know any non human looking aliens came here. Well aside from my friend Prospero. Is it a long trip from you home?"

[pattersongs]

"Not particularly," Mordin says with a small smile. "Generally just a matter of using particular doors. Most access to Milliways through dimensional portals, often entirely without meaning to. Haven't seen anyone actually travel here through ordinary space."

[fiss84]

"Oh," Julie says not quite catching all of that.

After an awkward pause she says, "My name's Julie," before she realizes she probably should have used a codename instead of her real one.

[pattersongs]

Don't feel bad, Julie. That's pretty standard for anybody talking to Mordin.

The salarian inclines his head. "Professor Mordin Solus," he says. "Pleasure to meet you. Welcome to Milliways. First drink free. Bar is voice-activated. Very good at sodas, ice cream, other beverages popular with humans who don't consume alcohol."

"Cool," Julie says beaming. "Do things cost a lot?" Cause her family doesn't have much.

[pattersongs]

"Not noticeably. More reasonable prices than most shops on the Citadel," says Mordin. "Probably easier to handle than Earth prices."

[fiss84]

"Maybe I should get a soda then," she muses and pulls out some change from her pants. "Oh wait, you said first drink is free?"

[pattersongs]

Mordin nods cheerfully. "Anything at all. Within reason. Don't recommend ryncol, not meant for human digestion," he says.

[fiss84]

Ryncol sounds too much like medicine anyway.

"Maybe a strawberry milkshake?"
