When Teja comes to the bar to order tea this evening, he finds an anonymous message, with a book and a plate of seven muffins.

Strange. Very strange indeed. Teja calls a rat; it is Thady who comes to his call, as he often does.

When asked to do so, the rat sniffs the muffins, and gives Teja the thumbs-up sign: - he can smell no poison, nor anything odd. Indeed, the rat takes two of the muffins as payment for these unusual services, and munches them with great gusto while Teja looks at the book.

A cookbook?? Who would give him a cookbook???

Teja opens it, and gapes.

What? This is a cookbook??

He takes his tea, the book and the remaining muffins (keeping Thady from taking a third), and wanders over to the fireplace, where he hides in a large chair and starts looking through the book.

What? What??? What with the what now??

The muffins are good, though, Teja thinks while he feels himself blushing crimson.
