At some point during the evening, Sariel slips through from the Enterprise and up the staircase. When she makes her way back down again and crosses to the tree*, she has her hands rather full.
Sariel couldn't think what to get Demeter for Christmas. In the end, she leaves a message:
Demeter,
I know we haven't spoken in some time, but I haven't forgotten your kindness to me. If you ever have need of me, don't hesitate to ask; I'll gladly return the favor.

Harding's gift is a cleared bar tab. When he next checks the board, he'll find that anything he owed has zeroed out, replaced by a modest sum to his credit. It's not extravagant, but it's enough to get a few decent meals out of, at least.
Kirk gets a pound of dark roast Caribbean coffee. Some things work well from year to year.
River gets a tin of ginger tea. There's a note attached:
Corumbus aliqua, but ginger is lovely too, and I don't know ginger's Latin translation. Happy Christmas, River.
Tanya's present is a bottle of apple schnapps. Since she knows the subject matter rather better than Sariel, it should be easy for her to tell that it's no watered-down fruit juice and alcohol mix even without the bottle's German label.
Teller gets an intricate puzzle box, done in dark wood and brass. There are no ravens or bees to be seen, sorry to say. There is a rather tricky puzzle, though.
The shape of the package might make a person think Will's gift is a weapon, but it's not a sword. It's a sheath. It would be plainly functional if delicate leafy vines hadn't been fashioned along it, climbing clear from one end of the piece to the other. Hopefully it doesn't stand out too horribly in Sherwood...
Yrael gets a recording, transferred to CD, of a concert featuring a string quintet. That's not so extraordinary, but the instruments might up the unusualness factor a little: Two violins, a cello, a Celtic harp, and a Vulcan lyre. There's no catnip mouse to be found this time, oddly enough. Blame Cubefall, maybe?
