He looks so different from the last time she saw him, but there's still something very Constantine about him. Teyla crouches next to him, placing a tentative hand on his shoulder.
John instinctively jerks away from the contact with wild eyes, but recognition slowly returns. His mouth works soundlessly trying to say something, and slowly he manages to croak, "I know you."
It's not the bar Lucifer intended to end up in either, but at least one potential patron is the same. Constantine looks quite a bit worse for wear from Lucifer's last (almost) encounter with him. He looks, in fact, almost unrecognizable. Physically, that is. He's not the sort of person Lucifer could fail to recognize without some very serious magic.
"Lose your way, Constantine?" The question is asked from a stool two down from where the man is slumped.
John looks up quickly. He knows that voice. He doesn't know where he's heard it before -- or even whether he's heard it before -- but he knows it down to his bones. And it scares the piss out of him.
He scrabbles away from the voice and hunkers down with a scowl like a trapped animal.
That's enough to catch Lucifer's curiosity. Generally speaking, he doesn't frighten people unless he wants to. He slips easily off his stool and moves closer to John.
"Rough night?"

Between that one step and the next, River's body has tightened to a coltish, fretful collection of joints and angles. She pulls in a breath; one hand rises, probably unnoticed, to pluck briefly at her hair.
But she's still moving -- towards him, now, and not really towards Bar.

Guppy gets a pen torch out of his pocket, and shines it at one of John's pupils.
