Talaerion grins at the drow-griffin, and the expression is surprisingly feral. "So are you," he replies. "These things do go down easier than darkspawn, though, I have to admit that. They're small, and they don't have armor and weapons. Or Emissaries. I hate Emissaries."

Darkspawn mages. Ugh. They're always what Talaerion goes for first, precisely because he knows how dangerous mages can be. Better to obliterate your opponent's and rob them of that support. The Warden flicks a bit of... something, off of one arm; it looks like it got stuck there after he bashed one of the creatures.

"As for eating them..." Talaerion laughs. "I don't think even I could eat that much, and even if I could, I'm not sure they'd be safe for me. You can help yourself, if you'd like." He sits down on a large, fallen tree and fishes in the pouch he wears on his right hip, pulling out a small vial filled with a strange, glowing, sparkling blue liquid that practically has neon lights proclaiming that it's magic-related. The elf uncorks the flask and drinks its contents before recorking it, and tucking it away once more.

The griffin gave the flask a curious, wary look, and then padded his way over, to examine some of the frozen bunnies. They will probably need some time, for the ice to melt, and so he makes his way to some of the crushed bunnies instead. "Thank you." He says politely, and then begins to gorge himself on demon-bunny.

Given that a griffin can eat a good-sized deer in one sitting, it's not surprising that he eats his way through a good amount of that meat, no matter how singed, or frozen or squished into splatted red-stuff it may be. By the time he is finished, Zaknafein feels quite bloated, and admits it aloud in a rather pleased tone of voice.

"I feel like I've eaten an entire riding lizard. I feel so full." as Zak lays down, stretched out like a great, furry and feathery black rug on the green grass, eyes heavy-lidded as he basks in the sun.

"Not a problem." The elf smiles and stretches his legs out in front of him, watching the griffin devour every rabbit that he can. He chuckles at Zak's comment.

"Well, they seem edible, at least. And plentiful, too." Talaerion absently reaches out and begins to pet the griffin's feathery head.

Behind him, a survivor clever enough not to be herded with the rest sees its opportunity. The bunny darts forward, making a beeline for the mage's exposed back. Fangs bared, it leaps...

And drops out of the air to the ground, frozen solid. It would seem that Talaerion doesn't need his staff to cast at least some spells, and that he can sense enemies--perhaps before they can even sense him. The Warden reaches behind him and grabs the bunny by one ear, slinging it over the tree trunk to lie near his feet.

"I'll save this for later, then, shall I?"

The griffin had caught sight of the demon-bunny early and had begun to stir, to lever himself up as fast as he could from his floor-flat position, (not very fast, as he was stretched out like a rug and was still in torpor from eating so much besides) but apparently he didn't need to. The drow-turned-griffin warily eyed the mage that was petting his feathery head as the mage grabbed the bunny by one ear. He let himself sink back down to the ground, (a few inches, only) eyelids lowering to half-mast.

"What do you plan to use it for?" Zak asked Talaerion, eyeing the rabbit-popsicle curiously, since Talaerion had already said he had no use for such things as food.

"I'm not really certain," Talaerion admits, looking down at the animal. "Maybe Bar will hold onto it, in case you get hungry later? Mostly I just wanted to stop it from giving it to me in the neck. I could probably find a use for it if you don't want it, though. Rabbit fur is warm, whether its former owner was demonic or not, and Ferelden tends to be a bit chilly." He grins broadly. "Maybe some demon-bunny underwear, for those unusually chilly mornings."

He'd do it, too.

"Perhaps, but I could always go hunting later." Zak allowed, tail-a-twitching in amusement.

However, Talaerion's last words are not so palatable to the drow's mind.
The griffin gives Talaerion a surprisingly clear disgusted expression, conveying his opinion of that idea with surprising facility for a face that's all feathers, over-large beak and large golden eyes.

"..." The silence is also equally eloquent. It conveys very clearly 'I have no words for how strange and disgusting I find the idea of your underwear.'

Is the griffin slightly green? Yes, yes, he is.

"...Can we please not talk about such things?" The griffin says, faintly.
He feels morbidly curious, and yet slightly nauseous.

Mage. Underwear. Fur. This does not compute.

"Hey, don't knock the idea until you've woken up and had to break the ice on the river just to bathe. It'd help, is all I'm saying." He looks speculatively at the carcass. "And it would give Alistair nightmares for weeks."

Especially if he left the head intact on the front, like a codpiece, and mounted a couple of faceted garnets in the eye sockets.

He does, however, let the topic lie after that. He doesn't need the griffin suddenly and forcibly ejecting that many chewed and partially digested rabbits all over his boots.

It would have given Zaknafein nightmares too. Zak would probably have barfed chunks of half-digested rabbits all the faster if he'd heard about the bits about leaving the head intact. The universe does not go there, Zak would have said.

Fortunately, the mage seems to feel merciful enough not to ruin the griffin's digestive system today. Thank the gods.

"If warmth is what you had in mind, you could likely line a cape, a jacket and leggings, with rabbit fur?" Zak ventured. He just doesn't want the codpiece thing. Universe not go there.

It's unfortunate that there's only been one rabbit to skin for that, but Zak would be willing to donate all the rabbits he will eat in the next day or so to the cause... as long as it doesn't involve underwear.
