"So long as you aren't handling the drinks we should be golden."
Or, you know, not. Jo'll find out sooner or later.
She doesn't look concerned about her ten-year-old cotender.

Shephard looks down at the jar.
In lieu of money Shephard will be depositing a fistful of .44 caliber bullets in the jar.
"Might as well git it out of the way now," he says. "I know my own habits. Gimme a bourbon, if y'don't mind."

That's a sound she recognizes.
The bullets get an intrigued glimpse.
She rummaged for the bottle holding out her other hand to Anna.
"Glass. One of the small, almost cone shaped ones."
Reply
Anna looks at the glasses behind the bar -- and wow are there a lot of glasses behind the bar -- and finds what she thinks is the one Jo is asking for.
"Like this?"

So when Jo and Anna are behind the counter he laughs at the announcement,
"Can you tell me which one tastes the best?"
Reply
"I'm not allowed to drink any of them.
"But I like the name of the party girl one."
So, there's that.
Reply
It's more her kind of flavor.
Which none of them are exactly.
"I'm Jo, and this is Anna. What kind of drinks do you like?"

All that it lacks is a Hark!
Castiel comes closer to Bar to investigate.
"Anna."
"Jo."
Reply
"You tryin' drinks again?"
Reply
"Hi," Anna says, happily.
"I am helping Jo with the bar."
Reply
"I see that."
It does not occur to Castiel that there is anything especially strange about a ten year old tending a bar.
He examines the board.
"I am not familiar with these drinks," he admits.
Such strange names. Why do drinks need names in the first place?
"If that would be appropriate," he says. He did approach the Bar, after all. Having a drink would be customary. "What would you recommend?"

Blame the swear jar.
Dean scrubs one hand through his hair, smile half-leaving his face when he catches sight of Jo.
"Uh. Hey, Jo."
So this is awkward.
Reply
"You know Jo?"
That's wonderful. They're like her two favorite people here, and they know each other!
"I'm helping Jo tend bar!"
(What, you thought you were the only one who got to be a bad influence, Dean?)
Reply
At least Anna had started with talking? Exuberantly.
"Hey." Swallow it down. "You want a beer or a drink?"
Reply
Maybe awkward ain't the right word.
"You got any recommendations, kid?"
When in doubt, pull in the tiny redhead. She'll totally save him.
Right?

There was no way Jo could forget her.
"I promise they don't bite?"
Reply
This is fun!
She gets to help Jo, and talk to all her friends.
"How are you?"
