A long time ago, Bart said he was going to find other superpowered people. And he did, except most of them were here, not on his world, and... crap happened. Today, he met superpowered people.
And then he picked himself off the ground ten minutes later and found out they'd disappeared and left him with some stylish burn marks from being electrocuted. Bart is nothing if not resourceful, and tracking them down again wasn't too difficult.
They were with 33.1. He spent a few hours talking and using his expert criminal skills to get them set up underground someplace safe. He can't say he didn't bear a little bit of a grudge on the whole electrocute first ask questions later technique, but parting on decent terms was good.
Now, he's curled up on one of the couches eyeing the fish in the fire. He'll deal with the burns soon, seriously, but right now he's just really tired and wants to sit down for a while. Unfortunately, he's not doing a very good job of keeping the burn on his left wrist out of sight.
