Saturday night happy hour

Ianto, as always, is pleased to find himself in Milliways, and takes a seat at the bar, anticipating an endless cup of coffee and a night of good talk.

The napkin that pops up is no surprise, though. He reads it and nods. "Absolutely, I can do that."

He goes behind the bar and thinks for a moment, then writes on the specials board:

"Do you have butterbeer?"

"I've never heard of that," Ianto says honestly, "but I would bet we do." He checks the vast stores--and it takes a few minutes, because they are vast--and finds a tapped barrel marked "Butterbeer."

He fills a mug and sets in in front of the lad.

"I hope that's what you're thinking of."

"I hope so, too," he murmurs.

And lo, it is. Ianto is the recipient of a pleased grin. "Thank you."

"Good," says Ianto with a pleased grin of his own.

"Are you new to the bar?"

[not_lupine]

"I suppose so, yes. Certainly not old to it.

"I'm Remus Lupin."

[likesthecoat]

"Ianto Jones," Ianto says, holding out his hand.

He has read Harry Potter. He'll try not to mention it.

[not_lupine]

Remus most certainly appreciates it.

And accepts the hand.

"I gather you're... less than new to this place."

He shakes Remus's hand and lets it go. As he is Ianto, there is no visible squee.

"One might even call me a regular, though what with the time differences it's hard to say how long I've actually been coming here."

"Yes, I imagine that would pose a problem," Remus agrees.

"It can get confusing. Things happen either quickly or slowly, and then you go home and it's still Thursday."

[not_lupine]

"Time Turner?"

Wait.

This is a Muggle.

Er.

"...Travel?"

Ianto raises an eyebrow.

"Sorry? Time stops at home when you come here."

[not_lupine]

"Yes! Right!"
