Jack Carter is most definitely not in uniform this evening. He's trying to get used to the idea of relaxing here, and he can't really do that if he feels like he's representing Eureka's long arm of the law.
Of course, he's always representing it, uniform or not. But right now, it helps a wee bit to just feel like he's Jack Carter, average Joe instead of Jack Carter, sheriff of America's foremost secret scientific research center.
So he's sitting at the bar, sipping on a beer. A rather good beer, he has to admit.
