Early on the morning of the 4th, several very brightly colored signs went up around the bar. These signs were decorated with all manner of glitter, and shiny ribbons, and perhaps a touch of magic to make them hard to miss:

If you brought something (hopefully something shiny!) for Atton, there's a table to put it all.

Will has been helping Doc set up and sets down a rather lovely velvet bag that's only a bit muddy with inside a red ring and a dagger with a little card saying From Will.

Guppy has brought him a high speed remote control car, and a warm jumper for the winter.

The package from Doc is wrapped in plain brown paper. Inside is a large silk scarf, as well as a bag of various flavors of hard candy, and a note:

Now you can have one I won't 'steal'. Happy birthday. - Doc

Sam's bad at presents, especially when he can't exactly go shopping. Even when it's a present for Atton.

But after a lot of thought, he leaves a little blue drawstring bag. It contains an appropriately shiny half dragon scale (one side a rich crimson, the other iridescently mother-of-pearl) on a loop of black leather cord. Bar seemed to have acquired one somehow, and presented it helpfully when Sam made a hopeful request for ideas.

There's a note inside, too.

Dear Lanky,
I've hexed it so you can't cut yourself with it. The cord won't break, either, and no-one can take it from you unless you want them to. Try not to kill it or something?
Hearts, Sam.

PS.
Hate you lots.

Having set the bag down, its giver heads off for more rum.

Because Charlie is still regrettably not able to leave the bar, he made a card, which is currently sitting in a small box. Well, it's not exactly a card in the conventional sense. But it does say happy birthday.

Molly leaves Atton a hat!

It's bright blue with silver stitching, and looks like an Amazon tree frog. It's messily wrapped in pink tissue paper tied with silver ribbons.

She are grown-up, honest.

There was some shiny stuff. Like coins. Also a gift basket full of chocolate and other sweet items.

She wasn't prepared when the Bar dragged her in today, for Atton's lifeday. She has a habit of getting him things and keeping the information to herself until she sees him...or it's his lifeday!

Kira rushed home quickly, dug through her belongings and rushed back. She never knew when Atton would pop up on Dantooine...it's why she had this with her.

Sighing, she sets a deed and a keycard on the table with a quick note scrawled from her, signed with Revan's and the twins' names as well.

Yeah, yeah, Atton, Here's another shiny new ship for you. This one is a "test" model for the military. She has her ways :|

("Test" means "Okay to crash it, she loves you really!")

A sword is shiny, is it not?

That is what Teja has made for Atton -- a good, solid longsword, at home in Teja's world or in Will's, made of good, solid steel forge-welded from twisted and re-twisted rods, the way it was done among Teja's people, and their relatives.

It will be useful for any coming expedition to such a world.

Attila's gift is very shiny - an aureus of Septimus Severus [which means the gold content is much higher than that of the Byzantine solidi] pierced at one edge to take a thong. How appropriate it is as a gift for a space ship pilot he is doubtful but it's the most costly thing he has to hand.

Seeing nobody he recognises he leaves the gift on the table and goes to take his rum for a walk by the lake.
