At typical Happy Hour time, Urania is sitting at the bar with a laptop in front of her, working out an advanced formula to improve the range of a space telescope. It isn't until Mercury, bobbing at her elbow, nudges her that she realizes that no one is getting behind the bar to serve people

Ianto leans his elbow on the bar and studies the list. "What's in an astral gateway? Champagne?"

"Vodka, Blue Curacao, lemon juice, and ginger ale. Though I suppose I could add champagne... Or make you some other champagne cocktail? An Ambrosia? A Goodnight Kiss? A Deep Blue is Blue Curacao, Vodka, and Cherry...

Ianto laughs. "The champagne's not necessary. An astral gate sounds just fine."

he leans his elbow on the bar. "I'm Ianto."

She smiles and mixes the drink, sets it in front of him, and then offers a slender hand.

"Urania. Lovely to meet you, Ianto... Welsh?"

"Got it in one," Ianto says, impressed. He has a sip. "Mmm. That's delicious."

"Isn't it? I like drinks with ginger ale. And Blue Curacao. Ianto is a good name. Is it really Ianto or is your full name Ifan?"

"It's really Ianto," says Ianto.

"I like Blue Curacao too. It tastes exotic."

"Excellent. Good taste on your parents' part. And yours. And it's a great color. I like blue." She glances down at her long flowing blue tunic and pants and laughs.

"I've no complaints." He sips. "Well, except that no one can pronounce it. Or spell it."

"I-A-N-T-O. Anyway... Do you like it here?"

"Okay, one person can spell it.

"I like it very much. Do you?"

"Mostly. It's certainly an easy vantage point from which to observe."

[likesthecoat]

"Do you observe the people mre, or the--" He gestures to the observation window. "That?"

She giggles.

"The that, mostly. I'm... into astronomy."

[likesthecoat]

"Astrophysicist or you just like stars?"

[song_of_stars]

Sometimes, Rai wishes she had an easier answer to this question.

"Muse, actually. Muse of Astronomy."
