Unsurprisingly, the news is surprising. It's been surprising ever since I moved to the year 2008. I guess what's most surprising, besides that people like me can get married (in some states and countries) and have celebratory months and parades (even if there remains a sizable portion of people dislike the concept -- stating it lightly) -- I guess
