Unsurprisingly, the news is surprising. It's been surprising ever since I moved to the year 2008. I guess what's most surprising, besides that people like me can get married (in some states and countries) and have celebratory months and parades (even if there remains a sizable portion of people dislike the concept -- stating it lightly) -- I guess what's most surprising, besides all that, is that there's a black man running for president.
So unsurprisingly, ever since Ouranos and I found a place to live, I've been engaged in the news. The good and the bad. It's good for my curiosity, not so good for Gloria. She wants my attention. Right now, as I have a newspaper opened on a table top, she's trying to pull a toy out of my hand with resignation. Right now that's about all the attention she's going to get.
