Once he's satisfied Doc's going to stay where he's put, he goes up to Bar and gets a first aid kit and bandages along with a glass of whiskey, also a firm note reminding him of the existence of the infirmary.

The note is ignored and everything else is carried over to Doc as Will leans down to look at his injury,

"Doesna look like it 'it anythin' vital."

"There's an artery," Doc's now giving a lesson on medicine. "Runs right here long the inside, if you cut that you'll bleed t'death. Didn't hit it." He is glad the wound is more towards his knee and not his hip as he can tear the already torn cloth from the pants away from the wound and not show too much skin. He grabs the whiskey and takes a solid drink as he prods a bit at the wound with a fingertip and hisses. "Got me good though but I'll live. Least it was a sharp sword and straight."

He puts a cloth on the wound and holds it there to stop the bleeding while he sips again at the alcohol.

"What can I do to 'elp?"

He sits down on the opposite side of the booth, taking a swig of whiskey after Doc and watching.

Doc is peering at the bandages and the things that Bar gave him and he finds a small bottle of something that he assumes is for cleaning wounds and nods at it.

"Can you open that? Just take the lid off."

And Marlowe watches. He'll wait until Will is only to ask 'the hell?'

After Doc has been bandaged and heads up to his room, Will collapses in a chair by the fire with a rather large tankard of ale and doesn't yet see Marlowe.

The chair is comfortable and everyone is home in mainly one piece.

"Got the tax, though na sure 'ow good an idea was to ask folks from 'ere. We won though, sent Essex off to John lookin' a right fool."

Though he's tired and guilty about everyone being hurt, Will can't keep the grin out of his voice, this is who he is and what he does.
