Raven tilts his head, the angle remarkably awkward-looking, and blinks at her.

"I am often very hungry, yes? So."

But he's grinning as he says it.

"But that's a lot of cookies. The Alliance could feed troops off them for weeks."

Totally not an exaggeration.

Raven wrinkles his nose at her.

"Mostly humans are not so good at living on sugar, I do not think."

His expression indicates he thinks this is very bad design.

Ace is also easy like that. She even brings Jaffa cakes, which are kinda like cookies, right? She adds her stash of Jaffa cakes to the cookie plate, then scoots into the booth beside Raven.

And if he doesn't want to make way, that's what elbows are for.

Then he leans against Ace, snatching up two of the Jaffa cakes.

They are good.

"If you say one word 'bout havin' another fantastic sister, or aunt, or anything else, I will stuff cookies up y'nose." Ace threatens, taking two Jaffa cakes for herself.

Raven blinks.

He looks down at her and blinks again.

"It is a thing that is popping out of the woodwork, that?"

Raven is so out of the loop.

"No," Mal stresses, jabbing the borrowed pencil's point into the paper at a severe angle.

"I just got back from tryin' to be useful in a different 'verse and I'll I've got now is two months o' catastrophes at home and no gorram gun."

Raven shrugs, sliding sideways to flop down across from Mal.

"That, I think, is often the trouble with helping. So."

Mary Anne sees his dramatic entrance from her own table. She heads over, brushing some dust from his shoulder.

"Have you been up there this whole time?"

Raven sneezes, but not in her face.

He is considerate like that.

"Mostly, yes?"

He does not look sheepish. Really.

She smiles.

"It was at least interesting, I hope?"

Raven laughs.

"People are often forgetting how loudly they talk, so."

That is Raven's way of saying 'yes', really.

Raven doesn't have to worry about cookie-nabbing from Kevin. This may be the one Bar patron who never eats those.
The copper, though? Yep. He's eyeing it, before he remembers not to stare.

Raven does not so much mind staring.

He is pretty!

He is also bending the copper into a very complicated inverted spiral when he looks up at Kevin and grins.

"You are fond of jewelry, perhaps?"

"Sometimes," he answers with a similar grin. "I'd be better at the making than the wearing, I think. Not so photogenic as some folks."
