Will's just coming out of the lake after an early morning swim, smiling and drying off with his shirt, happily his scars aren't too visible as he dries off and he waves to the worried looking man.
"Interesting accent." In his youth, he did a semester in England - at one of the less notable colleges at Cambridge - and thinks he encountered most of the variations. This one doesn't sound like any of them.
He isn't alone out here. Amanda is enjoying the fresh air away from the bulk of the people. She has been spending alot of time out here because of the crowds.
She smiles over in the mans direction as they make eye contact. though such things are strange and she may look a little uncomfortable doing so. Her feet bear wearing modern clothing.
"Hallo, Mr. O'Dell." Spoon has yet to forget a scent, so when he trots outside (this is it, tonight they go hunting) the wind drives it straight to him, "How're you finding Milliways?"
...He's dressed in his armor already. Just so that he can leave at a moment's notice.
"Armor." Spoon says, "Acid proof, temporarily gold-plated armor." Which should be obvious, but hey. Speaking the obvious is one of Spoon's traits. "Got a bit of an invasion to deal with."
She's just got back from her world, and she doesn't yet want to face whole crowds. So, there's a black garbed young Muslim by the lake shore. She looks up and nods politely to him.
The dean, being your typical American of the 21st century, tries really hard not to look askance at a women dresed as she is. But even if he's open-minded, and doesn't think every Muslim is a bad guy, he still doesn't offer a very friendly look, sad to say.
Though at least he thinks he's trying not to be racist. That's almost something.
The thing is, while 'racist' in the dean's world may mean lack of understanding or unfriendly looks? In Sooraya's, it means people throwing explosives at you, and your friends, who are unarmed teenagers, or children...and not missing. So staring doesn't really get under her skin by itself, anymore.

Then he pulls on his shirt, tying up the shirt sleeves and working on getting his boots on with a small bow to O'Dell.

"Good morning," she calls over, casually.
