Raven is, it must be said, intrigued by new things.
They are interesting.
And he does not, perhaps, so much mind heavy stone.
But there is no call for stone to be boring, is there?
Which is possibly why eventually at least one of them is festooned with real flower garlands, bunches of brightly colored ribbon, sparkly streamers, and, of course, glitter.
There would be cookies, too, but there is no good place to put them.
When David wanders listlessly outside, trying with all his might not to go stir-crazy (how long does that door take to come back, anyway?), he notices it.
Ooh. This is new.
"Oh, wow," he says, meandering towards it with a fairly impressed little smile. Because statues = awesome, especially kind of monument-looking ones that appear out of nowhere. As he walks, he glances over his shoulder to see if whoever put it here is still around.

David does a double-take, looking back at where the statue had been and then spinning all around to try to find it. No such luck.
That, right there? That is weird.
