Something different is with Rand as he walks down into the bar from his room. He's never been visibly armed before.

Tonight, there is a blade strapped to his hip, peaceknotted with a red silk cloth and white silk cord.

He sits unobtrusovely at the bar and flags down the bartender of the evening with his uninjured hand.

Possibly it is difficult to be unobstrusive with a sword.

Possibly Raven is just feeling friendly.

The most likely possibility, however, is that Raven is bored.

He blinks at Rand, head tilting.

"You are often for expecting trouble, then?"

Rand looks to the voice.

"There is always trouble," he replies.

Raven beams.

"That, I think, is a thing I will not deny."

The fact that trouble often comes hand in hand with Raven is, of course not mentioned.

He is not stupid.

Er.

Absentmindedly running a hand through his hair, Rand looks at Raven carefully.

"You seem in good spirits."

[creator_raven]

"It is often so, that."

He laughs quietly.

"I am mostly comfortable here, I think."

[flame_and_void]

"Here as in Milliways? Or your current perch?"

[creator_raven]

Raven makes a face at Rand.

"Milliways. This is not sparkly enough for a perch, perhaps."

He has one upstairs, though.

It is very pink.

Rand smirks.

"What would it need to be worth of being a perch?"

[creator_raven]

"There is often the shape, for one."

Whether he means the shape of the furniture or the shape of the Raven--that is perhaps more than a little unclear.

"Well, it functions for what it is in the meanwhile."

[creator_raven]

Raven laughs.

"Most things do, I think. It is restful."

[flame_and_void]

Rand smirks.

"And the company is enjoyable from time to time."

[creator_raven]

"There is also that."

He laughs.

"Family is not so bad, either."

[flame_and_void]

Rand grimaces.

"You're fortunate to be able to spend time with them."

[creator_raven]

"Most of the time."

He is not making faces.

Well, not many, at least.

"They are often very stubborn. It is irritating."

Rand's grimace transforms into a chuckle.

"That I can relate to."
