Lock, Shock and Barrel make entrances.

Like now, for instance.

They're squabbling over something- it looks like a book.

Weirdos.

“Be careful,” Luna advises dreamily from the sidelines. “It might bite.”

[give_us_candy]

"No it won't." Lock and Barrel pull the book, trying to dislodge it from the other's grasp.

"Look, if it was going to bite us, it would have already." Shock speaks to Luna, but watches her brothers, arms crossed.

“That’s what my Uncle Brian said.”

She smiles a little, and adds vaguely, “Now he has no nose.”

Shock continues to watch the tennis match that is Lock and Barrel, stopping only to scoff at Luna.

"We've got worse scars than a nose bitten off."

She blinks down at Shock, completely oblivious to any scoffing.

“Really? That sounds awfully interesting.”

[give_us_candy]

"Want to see?" This is the part when most humans tend to say, very sternly, 'NO. Go find your parents.'

“Alright then.”

She sits down on the floor next to Shock, cross-legged.

It should be noted here that Luna is, among other things, not most humans.

Obviously. Shock kinda stares at her for a minute.

"You want to see my scars."

“You can see mine too, if you want,” she suggests helpfully. “I got bitten by a horse once. It was quite unpleasant.”

Okay, this is getting weird.

"You got bitten by a horse." Shock's eye arches and she cocks her head to one side. "Why?"

Luna rubs her nose thoughtfully.

At length, “I think it mistook me for an apple.”

[give_us_candy]

"How is that even possible?!?!!?" Confoundment!

She pauses, contemplating.

“I was wearing red.”

[give_us_candy]

Okay, Shock can't even answer that with an insult.

Luna smiles absent-mindedly across at her. Then down at the floor. Then up at the ceiling.

After a little while, she begins to hum.

"Why are you so weird?!?!?"
