At one side of the bar is Guppy, who is looking after Jack Manackle whilst Shufti eats her dinner a little way away

Homestar happens to love babies, so getting to see one and a friend of his at the same time is like a jackpot.

"Hello Doc Guppy and very very little boy."

He leans in to get a closer look at Jack.

Guppy glances up to give a reassuring 'this person is safe' nod to Shufti, then smiles at Homestar.

"Hello Homestar. This is Jack. I'm babysitting him tonight."

Jack looks at Homestar with bebe!stare.

If you could call Homestar a person. But yes, he's quite harmless. Stupid, but harmless.

"I'm glad people give their babies names that are shorter than 'Very Very Little Boy.' Jack is a much nicer name. Much more pacific."

He squats down, giving Jack an excellent view of his trademark propeller cap.

Jack gurgles in delight and reaches towards it.

"Ba boo da." he babbles.

"Yeah, Jack's a good name." Guppy agrees.

A muffin may soar through the air towards Guppy. It's aimed for the table, but it might end up hitting him instead. You never know.

It bounces off Guppy's head and lands on Jack.

The baby blinks for a moment, then begins to howl.

Guppy scoops up the infant and looks around for the culprit.

There is also the click of a crossbow loading on a nearby table. But Shufti will disarm as soon as she gets the all clear from Guppy about the culprit. She's just a little on edge.

Atton grimaces, waving an arm.
"Sorry - That wasn't meant to hit you," He gives the baby a slightly despairing look, because he really has no idea how to deal with children. "It was meant to land on the table."

Guppy spots Atton, and gives Shufti a nod of 'he's safe'. The crossbow is disarmed and the mum continues her dinner.

"Then what did you throw it for you... idiot?" He's not going to swear in front of the baby, even if the boy is screaming in his ear. He brushes crumbs out of Jack's hair.

"Hey." Sara takes a seat next to Guppy.

"Hey Sara."

He gives her a small smile and tucks the leaflet into his pocket. He looks tired but not exhausted.

"How are you?"

Jack climbs over Guppy's knee to get a better look at the newcomer.

"I'm all right. Getting ready for Mark's birthday and his movie premiere. You?"

She smiles at the baby.

Jack smiles back.

"I'm okay." he lies. "When's Mark's birthday?"
