So, why did Molly like arthur to begin with?

Last night, Howl suggested Arthur play to his strengths. Which advice, Arthur took to hurt.

The only problem? He's weak at knowing what his strengths are.

Which explains why he's sitting there with a blank notepad, a quill, and a look of confusion on his face.

Molly see Arthur with a quill, and hopes that he's writing an apology to Jack for setting him on fire.

When she sees that parchment is blank, she leans in from behind him and and says, "You're supposed to write on it."

"M-Molly!"

He jumps, spilling the ink across the parchment, and then tries to sop it up with the sleeve of his robe.

"Oh, dear!"

Molly's quick, but not that quick. She isn't fast enough to vanish the ink before he wipes his sleeve it in.

With a sigh, she does what she can with the table, but parchment is a total loss.

"Let me see your sleeve."

She's always had a knack for house-holdy types of charms.

"Scourgify!"

He pulls the sleeve back, awkwardly, but his eyes are glowing.

"T-thank you."

There's always more parchment.

"You're welcome. I didn't mean to scare you half out of your skin."

She examines the sleeve and casts a couple of more charms on it.

"It's not perfect, but it should be all right."

She reaches into her pocket and pulls out a bottle of ink. It's purple.

"Here. The bar can probably give you another scroll of parchment. What were you working on?"

"I was..."

He gulps, then peers up at her.

"Er. I was trying to list my strengths."

"Your strengths?"

It seems like an odd thing to do, but she's willing to help him out.

She pats her pockets and comes up with a spare bit of parchment. Not a full scroll, but certainly big enough for a list. She hands it over to him.

"You're friendly. Curious. Enthusiastic... are you writing a resume, or something?"

"Well, uhm, I'm..."

And he goes bright red.

"Trying to figure out why girls like me?"

Molly raises an eyebrow. Perhaps Arthur's met someone here in the bar that he fancies?

"Well, you're cute. Not just your looks, but just..."

She waves a hand expressively.

"In general."

She doesn't want to hurt his feelings by telling him that his absent minded bumbling and shy intellegence is endearing.

He writes down cute as well.

"Ah, anything else?"

"You're intellegent, and usually even smart. You tend to be even-tempered."

They won't go into the fire-setting thing.

"Helpful..."

"Mhmm..."

He's not thinking when he asks.

"And that's what attracted you to me?"

Molly blinks.

"I suppose..."

He does understand that he's not getting another chance with her. Doesn't he?

"It didn't hurt that you were attracted to me, as well."

Toss in hormones and close proximity... mix and get a heady cocktail.

Doesn't understand it AT ALL.

"Ahhh."

She looks at him, thinking he's acting strangely, but can't quite figure out what's wrong with this picture.

"So are you going to make the other half of the list, as well?"

"Other half?"

Curiously.
