He nods to the cake, but also to the plates of perfectly baked cookies. To someone with a keen nose, they might realize that Gary himself gives off the scent of freshly baked cookies.
"Plenty of. I've some skill at baking and the little one's m'son."
But he is standing somewhere in the vicinity of the party with his hands in his robes, glancing around with some amount of interest.

He arches a brow. "There is cake?"

"Ah, congradulations, then." He smiles. "How rude of me. I'm Lawrence." He holds out his hand expectantly.

"Gary Perunu, sir. Nice to meet you. Go by Lawrence or Larry or should I've never even said that second one in your general direction ever?"

"Lawrence is preferable, but Thomas Edward is strictly forbidden." He laughs faintly.

"Gotcha. I'd say you couldn't use my middle name but then I'd have to tell it to you and that's not happening."

He nods. "Understandable, of course. So .. this is your son's party?"

"Pretty much. Adopted son."
He looks at Joshua, who's still flying.
"Yeah, you'll notice the lack of wings on me."
