Whistling cheerfully to himself, George steps behind the bar.

He makes a couple of additions to the Specials board then announces:

"Tonight's drinks are Jack Frost, Jealous Queen, Joulouville and Just Peachy".

"What'll it be?"

He notes the knuckles - and suddenly knows with certainty - that the uneasiness that's been plaguing him the last few weeks has a reason.

And he's about to have it confirmed for him.

"Can I get you a drink?"

He doesn't want to give voice to the fact that Adam looks as though he could use a stiff drink.

".. and no, I've not spoken to Liam recently."

[Or Alanna.]

If he had to hazard a guess, he'd judge the lad's age at about 13. Maybe 14.

He smiles - not mockingly.

He understands that the boy has to at least make the attempt.

Just like Kon did.

"Sure. Come back in about.. oh 7 years or so.. and it'll be ready for you."

"Coming right up."

He pours some coke into a glass of ice. He sticks a slice of lime on the side of the glass and even sticks a small decorative umbrella in - just because he can.

"I've been a busy fellow. I've been forced to spend quite a bit of my time lately out of the Bar.. something I hope to remedy."

He passes her drink over the bar.

"And you? Broken any young Wizard's hearts?" he asks, winking at her.
